Leyre ARRIETA ALBERDI holds a PhD in Contemporary History and is a lecturer at the University of Deusto. She currently teaches the subjects ‘The World Today’ and ‘History of Political Thought’ on the Degrees in Communication and International Relations. She has researched issues related to Basque nationalism, exile and Europeanism, the history of the media, and symbols of Basque nationalism. She is the author -alone or in collaboration- of more than ten books, including Estación Europa. La política europeista del PNV en el exilio (1945-1977) (2007), La historia de Radio (2015), Estudio introductorio y edición de La Causa del Pueblo Vasco de Francisco Javier Landaburu (2017) and Al servicio de la causa vasca. Biografía de Francisco Javier Landaburu (2021). He has also published numerous articles on Basque nationalism and exile. She has participated in numerous international conferences and has been a member of scientific committees and organiser of several international conferences.
