Joseba Abaitua holds a BA in Basque Studies (Univeristy of Basque Country) and a PhD in Computational Linguistics from the University of Deusto. He iscurrently Lecturer at the University of Deusto, where he teaches at the Bilbaocampus. Joseba Abaitua teaches BA courses on Modern Languages. Specifically, he teaches the following subjects: Lengua, cultura y sociedad, Language Applications, Digital Humanities. His publications mainly focus on language technology and multilingual content management. During the past few years he has carried out research on multiple texts, conceptual indexing and linked data. Joseba Abaitua is part of the LinguaMeida research team (recognized by the Basque authorities). Other research interests include Languages: Language contact, place names.
