Dr. Aitor Almeida is a researcher and lecturer at the University of Deusto. He received his PhD in distributed reasoning and uncertainty management in context information in 2013 at the University of Deusto. His research interests include behavior modelling, artificial intelligence for health, ambient assisted living, and discourse modelling in online social networks. He has authored more than 100 scientific papers published in international journals and conferences. He has participated in several big consortium-based European research projects involving QoL modelling for cancer survivors, behavior modelling for the detection of frailty, smart cities, social data mining, linked open data and AAL.
