iñaki vazquez gomez

Dr. Juan Ignacio (Iñaki) Vázquez (M). He has a PhD in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence with Doctor Europeus mention (University of Deusto, Spain and Lancaster University, UK). From 2020 to 2023 he served as Director of Deusto Institute of Technology – DeustoTech. He is lecturer and researcher in the area of Reinforcement Learning and the Internet of Things, especially focused on the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques to Cognitive Robotics. He is member of the European Internet of Things Council, and founder of several technology start-ups. Previously, he was Director of the Smart Objects unit at DeustoTech-Deusto Institute of Technology, specialized in intelligent objects connected to the Internet. He is member of the editorial committee of the International Journal of Ambient Computing and Intelligence (IJACI) and participates in the scientific committee of international conferences such as IoT (Internet of Things Conference), WoT (Web of Things), IE (Intelligent Environments), UCAmI (Ubiquitous Computing and Ambient Intelligence) and IWAAL (International Workshop of Ambient Assisted Living).
