Ana Isabel Herrán Ortiz holds a BA in Law and a PhD in Law from the University of Deusto. She is currently a lecturer at the University of Deusto, where she teaches at the Bilbao campus. Ana Isabel Herrán Ortiz teaches BA courses in Law and in the Double Degree on Business Administration + Law. She also teaches MA courses on Legal Science Research and Information Security. Specifically, she teaches BA level Introduction to Law I: Foundations of Private Law Family and Inheritance, and MA level Normative Dimension of Security and Research Methodology on Private Law. Her publications mainly focus on Law and ICT, and the rights of the individual. During the last few years she has carried out research on the right to the protection of personal information. Other research areas include Family law and inheritance.
