BSc in Medicine and Surgery, University of Cantabria, Specialism in Clinical Neurophysiology. He completed his residency at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital, with external rotation in the Epilepsy Units at the Niño Jesús Hospital in Madrid and the Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania, USA. He later completed a fellowship on Epilepsy at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. He has been an associate clinical member of the Clinical Neurophysiology services and member of the Epilepsy Unit at Cruces University Hospital since the end of 2012.
