Professor of Economics of the European Union. Holds a Jean Monnet Chair in EU Economic and Legal integration for People. She ,holds a BA in Law with a specialism in Economics, a PhD in Law from the University of Deusto, and postgraduate education from the Institute of European Studies at Turin. She is Coordinator fo the Diploma in Economics of the Faculty of Law. She teaches BA courses on Law and MA courses on Legal Science Research. Specifically, she teaches BA level European Union Economy and International Business Environment, among others. Laura Gómez Urquijo is part of the Social Development and Economics for People research team, which has been awarded Category B recognition by the Basque Government. Laura Gómez Urquijo has been a visiting scholar in several foreign universities, including Uppsala, Buenos Aires, Sorocaba (Brasil), Sarajevo and Derby.
