leire gartzia fernandez

Leire Gartzia holds a BA in Psychology and a PhD in Organisational Psychology from the University of the Basque Country and the Rotterdam School of Management. She is currently a lecturer and researcher at the University of Deusto in Bilbao. She lectures on the Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and the MBA Masters and the Reghealth European Masters. Specifically, she teaches team leadership and development related courses in English. Her research areas focus on organisational behaviour and people management, including leadership, team development, crisis management, emotional skills and understanding of organisational functioning from a gender perspective. Her other research areas include social responsibility, reconciliation and organisational innovation. She has presented her research outcomes at more than thirty conferences and has received several international awards, including the "Best Paper" award at the Academy of Management or the "Dorothy Harlow" distinguished paper award on gender at the workplace. She is a member of the “Innovation and organization management in the knowledge society” research team
