i.denicolas@deusto.esIrati de Nicolás holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her research focuses on bilingualism and code-switching, as well as the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE), the use of technology in second language teaching, and the creation and development of authentic materials for language and culture classes. Currently, she is a professor at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, where she teaches the courses Varieties of English, English Language Skills I and II, and Higher English for Communication. She also teaches two modules in the course: Introducción a la Didáctica del Español Como Lengua Extranjera hosted by CIDE.
