Itziar Urquijo is a lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology and Education, University of Deusto. She is a member of the Education Innovation and School Organisation Department. She teaches on the double Bachelor's degree in Primary Education and Physical Activity and Sports Sciences and the double Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Education. The subjects she gives are: Introduction to Teaching, Anthropology and History of Education, Society and Schools and Theory of Education. She also gives the subject: Teaching on the Master’s in Compulsory Secondary Education, Upper Secondary Education, Vocational Training and Language Teaching. Emotional intelligence has been her focus area for research for years as she is a member of the Emotional Intelligence Consortium and is currently preparing her doctoral thesis on this theme.
