Dolores Morondo Taramundi (Bilbao, 1971) is currently head of research at the Human Rights Institute of the University of Deusto and national convener of the Erasmus Mundus Master Programme “Human Rights Policies and Practice”. Since joining Deusto in 2011 has participated to various important international and national research projects (FRAME, INTEGRIM, Huri-Age). She holds a Law Degree with an specialisation diploma on Economics, M.A in Sociology of Law (IISJ, Oñati), LL:M in Legal Theory (EALT, Brussels), PhD in Law (European University Institute, Fiesole, 2003) with a thesis entitled “"Equal opportunity and the dilemma of difference at the European Court of Justice: A gendered approach". She has taught legal philosophy, legal theory, history and philosophy of human rights and European law at the Law Faculty of the University of Urbino (Italy). She has taught postgraduate, masters and doctorate courses in the Universities of Bologna, Brescia, Verona, Padua and Venice (Italy) and Tromso (Norway). She has worked as an independent expert in EC projects on human rights and institutional building. Her main research areas include antidiscrimination law, legal critical theories, especially feminist legal theory, human rights and legal methodology.
