The purpose of the Ramón y Cajal (RYC) 2023 Aid program for contracts from the Ministry of Science and Innovation is to promote the incorporation of research personnel, both Spanish and foreign, with an outstanding track record in order for them to acquire the skills and abilities that allow them to obtain a stable position in a research organization of the Spanish System of Science, Technology and Innovation.

Duration and financing:
- The first phase, lasting 3 years, aims to consolidate the skills acquired during a first stage of postdoctoral training. The annual amount will be 35,450 euros, it will be used to co-finance the salary and the company's Social Security contribution of the people hired.
- The second phase, lasting 2 years, is accessed when the evaluation corresponding to the scientific-technical activity, which will be carried out taking into account the criteria to be a researcher R3 -established researcher- is positive. . The researcher may take this evaluation after the end of the second year. The annual aid will become 44,000 euros.
- An additional aid of 50,000 euros, to cover the expenses directly related to the execution of their research activities.
Requirements
- Hold a PhD degree (degree obtained between 01/01/2013 and 31/12/2021).
- Not having been a beneficiary of a grant from previous calls for the Ramón y Cajal performance.
- Not be a beneficiary of the Juan de la Cierva Aid, except for those who have enjoyed it for at least one year.

The applications for participation will be submitted by the R&D Centers and the candidates through the electronic means enabled for this purpose at the electronic headquarters of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
