Programme aims
The Juan de la Cierva grants programme of the Ministry of Science and Innovation aims to promote employment among young people holding a PhD degree. The aim is to help them complete their postdoctoral research training at Spanish R&D centres other than those in which they did their predoctoral training.

Grants available: 500 grants
Maximum grant duration: 2 years
Grant amount:The annual grant amount for each contract will be 32,300 euros. This grant must be used to co-finance the salary and employer's social security contribution of the persons hired each year, considered independently. An additional aid of 7,400 euros, to cover the expenses directly related to the execution of their research activities.
Requirements
- Hold a PhD degree (degree obtained between 01/01/2022 and 12/31/2023).
- In the case of people who want to join the same R&D Center in which they have completed their pre-doctoral training, they must have completed stays in R&D Centers other than the one in which they have completed their pre-doctoral training, for at least 12 months.
- Not to have submitted applications for participation in the Ramón y Cajal grants, in this call, at the end of the deadline for the submission of applications for these grants.
- Not having been a beneficiary of a grant from the previous calls for the Ramón y Cajal performances or the Juan de la Cierva Grants.
