The University of Deusto, in collaboration with the Fundación Banco Sabadell, announces the call for three grants titled "DEUSTO R3 Project 2025 Grants". This project is based on the development of the talent of engineering students through the teaching and learning processes inherent to their field.
In this project, we aim to highlight the values of excellence, as well as strengthen the identification and development of talent among undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The University of Deusto awards three grants aimed at facilitating student collaboration in the Faculty of Engineering within the R3 Project: Rural, Remote and Real, on a part-time basis alongside the studies they are pursuing.
These scholarships are part of a training programme aimed at students and oriented towards learning about the reality of university activity in the technological area, one of the objectives of the project being to democratise access to Science and Technology.
REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for the grant, applicants must meet the following requirements (not necessarily all):
- Be enrolled at the University of Deusto
- Be enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering.
- Have knowledge of programming and virtual environment design.
- Understand and appreciate the social impact of the R3 Project.
GRANT ALLOCATION
Grant allocation: €5000
Duration: 10 months
Collaboration: face-to-face, 3 hours a day on average

- A written statement of academic and personal motivations in relation to the R3 Project.

Submission of applications
The general application submission period is from10 to 20 December 2024.
The allocation and acceptance of places will be made and communicated by 13 January 2025, so that the assigned students can sign the collaboration agreement and begin their collaboration in February 2025.

The purpose of processing personal data is the management of financial aid and grants, as well as, where applicable, the sending of informational materials about the activities and services of the University of Deusto through physical and electronic means.
The legal basis for the processing of data is the relationship established with the grant application and the regulation of its terms, as well as the legitimate interest for, where applicable, sending informational materials in accordance with Articles 6.1(b) and (f) of Regulation (EU) 679/2016, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Personal data will not be disclosed to third parties or organisations, except in compliance with a legal obligation within the scope of this processing or to the organisations or promoters of the grant, in accordance with Articles 6.1(b) and (c) of Regulation (EU) 679/2016, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
There will be no international transfers of personal data, except in cases where the organising or sponsoring entity of the grants is based in a country outside the European Economic Area, in accordance with the terms of the call.
Personal data will be retained during the processing of the file and until it is archived, at which point they will be blocked in accordance with the periods required by the applicable specific regulations, and those related to the enforcement of responsibilities arising from the management and processing of personal data. The data will be treated confidentially and subject to technical and organisational security measures.
The interested party has the right to obtain confirmation as to whether the University of Deusto is processing personal data concerning them, to access such data, as well as to request the correction of inaccurate data or, where applicable, to request their deletion when, among other reasons, the data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected. They also have the right to request the limitation of the processing of their data and to object to it. These rights can be exercised by sending an email to privacidad@deusto.es or by postal mail, as indicated in the 'Rights Protection' section of the privacy portal available at http://www.deusto.es. Additionally, a complaint can be lodged with the competent Data Protection Authority, particularly if satisfaction has not been obtained in exercising these rights.
Applicants are responsible for providing accurate data, so any omission or falsehood in the information provided could result in the cancellation of the grant. Regarding the data provided for other family members or third parties necessary to verify the fulfilment of the required criteria, applicants must obtain the necessary authorisation prior to informing these individuals of the reason for the communication of their data, in accordance with the information outlined in the previous sections. The University of Deusto is exempt from this obligation to inform third parties under Article 14.5 of Regulation (EU) 679/2016, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and this responsibility falls to grant applicants.
