The admission process for the 2025/26 academic year is open.

Joint studies with foreign universities and specializations have their own admission process.

The application process is open for those degrees that will begin to be offered in January 2025.

How to apply online

What supporting documents must be submitted

1. A valid ID card. A photocopy.
Passport, only for foreign students (for EU citizens, the ID card is also valid). If your date and place of birth do not appear on your identity card, you must provide proof of these personal details as this information will be shown on your degree certificate.

2. Motivation letter: two pages (maximum 800 words) outlining your motivation, potential to study successfully at postgraduate level and future professional interests.

3. Curriculum Vitae, with a photocopy of the relevant supporting documents.

4. Certification of competence in a foreign language (and/or Spanish) required in the programme, if applicable. A photocopy.

5. Academic transcript of BA, BSc, Licenciatura, Engineering, Diploma, Technical Engineering degree certificate or equivalent. A photocopy.

6. Degree certificates issued by foreign universities: Certificate issued by the university or competent body, accrediting that the degree certificate obtained is valid for access to Master’s programmes in the country where it was issued. A photocopy. Alternatively, EHEA students can submit the Diploma Supplement. In case they have not completed their previous studies yet, they will be able to hand in a document issued by their university stating that, once they complete the Bachelor studies, this information will be at the section 5.1. of the Diploma Supplement.

STUDENTS WITH A FOREIGN UNIVERSITY DIPLOMA

Documents issued abroad must:

  • Be official and issued by the competent authorities, in accordance with the legal system in the country concerned.
  • The degree certificate granting access to the programme must be submitted at the time of enrolment. It must be legalised or authenticated by the relevant diplomatic authorities, or, where necessary, certified by the Hague Convention Apostille. This is not required for documents issued by the authorities of the Member States of the European Union, or signatories of specific exemption agreements.
  • They must be accompanied, if appropriate, by the corresponding certified translation into Spanish, English, French or Italian.

Instructions for the legalisation of foreign documents 

NON-SPANISH SPEAKING FOREIGN CANDIDATES

Non-Spanish speaking foreign candidates must also provide proof of having a good knowledge of Spanish language equivalent to B2 level of the CEFR (see the appendix), by submitting either a valid certificate. This accreditation is not required for courses that are fully taught in English

Online admission for STUDENTS' FROM OTHER UNIVERSITIES

1. Log in to our Virtual Office: deusto.es/virtualoffice

2. Register and obtain your User Identification Number (UIN) and password.

  • Click on “I do not have a username. I want to register”.
  • Complete the required data and click "continue".
  • Verify the data you have entered, accept the privacy policy and click "continue".
  • You will obtain your UIN. Enter your UIN in the “user” field and a password.
  • Check that all your data have been correctly entered and click ‘Finish’. You can apply now.

3. Apply online

  • Log in to the Virtual Office: deusto.es/virtualoffice
  • Enter your UIN and password
  • Select the button that includes the type of degree programme you want to study:
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD degrees
  • Select “pre-enrolment in official master's degrees” > Student pre-enrolment
  • Complete your personal data
  • Select your university country and previous studies. If your University does not appear on the list, select 'Otros/sin especificar'
  •  Submit all the required documents

*Important: Each required document must be attached in a single file

  • Complete the statistical data
  • Confirm your application

Online admission for UNIVERSITY OF DEUSTO'S STUDENTS

1. Enter in to our Virtual Office: https://deusto.es/virtualoffice 

2. Log in with your @opendeusto account and password

3.Select the button that includes the type of degree programme you want to study:
Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD degrees

4. Select “pre-emrolment in official master's programs” > Student pre-enrolment

5. Review your personal data and previous studies

6. Submit all the required documents.
*Important: Each required document must be attached in a single file
University of Deusto styudents can attach the academic transcript downloaded from the Extranet / Virtual Office

7. Complete the statistical data
