The proposal "Skills and Competences Needed for the Maximization of Energy Efficiency and Industrial Symbiosis" has obtained a positive resolution from the joint call of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and the 4Gune Cluster.
In particular, this project is one of the three initiatives selected to respond to the challenge "How to achieve a regional energy transition with sustainable solutions" within the framework of the # Students4Sustainability program. The project is in line, through 4Gune, with the Department of Education of the Basque Government and will be endowed with a financial contribution to facilitate its execution.
Thus, this project, aimed at adapting future job profiles in order to maximize energy efficiency and industrial symbiosis, is aligned with other digitalization, sustainability and skills development related European projects, such as SPIRE-SAIS and ESSA.
As a result of the aforementioned projects, future job profiles have been developed in various industrial areas such as Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Civil Engineering, Machine tool, Food or Steel. The generated work achieved several project-level distinctions such as the Deusto Research Social Impact Seal (see link for more details) and the Best Master's Degree Final Project award in Industrial Organization in Engineering at the University of Deusto (see link for more information).
