The UD awards the best stories and poems written by university students

Organised by the University of Deusto, San Sebastian campus, through its Department of Social and Cultural Activities (GURYA), the 11th Literary Contest is open to stories and poems in Spanish and Basque, and the choice of theme is free. Works must be submitted by 5 May.News

The choice of themefor the stories is free, with a minimum length of 10 pages and maximum of 15. In the case of poems, the theme and metrics are free, with a minimun length of 100 lines and maximum of 250.

Manuscripts must be submitted in duplicate, typed and double-spaced. On a separate cover sheet, they should include the TITLE and PSEUDONYM, without the writer?s name. Manuscripts must be sent or submitted in a large envelope, by 5 May to :'Certamen Literario. Universidad de Deusto. Mundaiz 50. 20012- Donostia'. This envelope should contain a small envelope with the title and pseudonym,and the writer's name must be provided inside. Winning entries will be published on 16 June 2006.

Both stories and poems will be awarded a 1st Prize of 230 euros and a 2nd prize.
