Two teams from the Faculty of Engineering competed last October 6 in the WOP Challenge 2024, a 50 km relay race between Sopelana and Bilbao. The initiative, which this year celebrated its fifth edition, has a social purpose: to raise funds to finance minutes of research in neurodegenerative diseases.
Both groups achieved meritorious third and fifth place in the 1DAY and WALK categories, respectively. Sport, effort, teamwork and research united for a cause as significant as improving people's lives. 100,000 minutes join the more than one million euros already invested in R+D+i projects.
