The Erasmus Mundus Master’s degree in International Humanitarian Action (NOHA) has collaborated with the “The Rohingya Exodus” (Doctors Without Borders) exhibition that was held in Auditorium’s Cloister at the University of Deusto from 6 to 14 November.
"The Rohingya Exodus" is an exhibition about the world’s biggest refugee camp where the Rohingyas, one of today’s most forgotten populations, live. Victims of decades of persecution in Myanmar, in August 2017 they were the target of a violent military operation by Burmese security forces, which caused the largest exodus in the history of this community. Now, more than 700,000 Rohingya refugees are cramped in shacks made of bamboo and plastic in Bangladesh’s Cox's Bazar district. Behind this figure are people and stories that do not deserve to be forgotten. For this reason, the exhibition seeks to bring the day-to-day life of the Rohingyas and explain their harsh situation. To this end, the exhibition featured guided tours and 360-degree videos for a full immersion experience.
