Bilbao Campus
In line with its efforts to boost bilingual education in Spanish and Basque, the University of Deusto Law Faculty will be offering more courses in Basque. With the start of the 2014-2015 academic year next September, subjects will be taught in Basque in the double BA degree in Business Administration + Law at the Bilbao campus.
The subjects will be offered in the first year of this programme in both the first and second semesters.
An increasing number of subjects will be offered in the Basque language in the following years of study as the UD consolidates its actions to become a reference in education in Basque.
The University of Deusto’s commitment to the use of the Basque language can be seen at different levels. Efforts are ongoing with more subjects in Basque in degree programmes added each year and the Law Faculty is making strides in this direction.
The UD also strives to increase the use of the Basque language, as shown by the services offered at Euskal Irakaslegoa. Euskal Irakaslegoa looks to offer University of Deusto students or anyone wishing to attend classes at this centre the means to improve their knowledge of spoken and written Basque with a certificate specifying the level they have attained.
The courses are organised so that UD students can conveniently combine their degree studies with Basque language classes.
