The new European legislature is facing a global scenario marked by deep geopolitical, economic and technological transformations. Within this framework, the University of Deusto has organized the conference “The European Union in the new geopolitical order: global challenges and priorities of the European agenda 2024-2029” to reflect on the current priorities of the EU, its role in the new world scenario and its ability to respond to global challenges.
Steffen Bay Rasmussen, professor and researcher of International Relations at Deusto, will participate in this activity, which will take place on March 25 from 5:30 p.m. in the Barandiarán Hall, and will address the topic “The impulse to the strategic autonomy of the European Union in a changing and competitive global environment”.
For his part, Asier Gonzalez, from the Faculty of Engineering, will speak on “Competitiveness and technological leadership: EU-US relations in times of Trump”. To continue with a presentation on the role of “The SMEs of Bizkaia in the geopolitical storm” that will offer Izaskun Arregui, international strategic consultant and Enterprise Europe Network Project Manager at the Chamber of Commerce of Bilbao.
