Deusto Business School presents its executive development programme, which will start in January

The University of Deusto has presented the executive development programmes offered by Deusto Business School ? DBS, which will start next January 2009: the Programme for Leadership Development - PLD, Executive MBA - EMBA, Multinational MBA ? MMBA, and the Im2 International Masters in Innovation Management. The presentation ceremony was attended by Alfredo Sáenz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Deusto Business School, Chief Executive and Second Deputy Chairman of the Santander Group. This MBA-MMBA Master?s programme is run jointly between Deusto Business School and Adolfo Ibáñez School of Management. It is designed for executives in Spanish or international companies with strong interests in Latin America and a minimum of 8 year?s relevant management experience, and for heads of top-level functional areas (Chief Financial Officers, Marketing Managers at national level, Country Managers, etc.), reporting directly to the company management, and who need to perform well in the new global market:Developed (US and Europe), developing (Latin America) and emerging (China, India, etc.) economies.Therefore, it is open to professionals able to perform well in a wide range of markets and situations in today?s globalised world.Hence, this programme will bring together Spanish and Latin American executives, which will enhance the sharing of experiences and insights, and will facilitate the creation of a network of corporate and cultural contacts.


The aim of this initiative is to help participants to acquire a new management vision and language, which breaks traditional paradigms.The MMBA seeks to help them to act in a different way, changing the rules of the game, rather than blending in with the rest of competitors, breaking down traditional ways of thinking, and offering new and innovative approaches.This Master?s degree is divided into three modules that will be taught in Miami (Adolfo Ibáñez School of Management), other three in Bilbao (Deusto Business School), one in Hyerabad-La Indiad (Indian School of Business), and another in Santiago de Chile (Adolfo Ibáñez University).Its price is 49,000 euros. .

With regard to the Executive MBA -EMBA, it is designed for professionals holding a university degree and with at least 5-year?s relevant professional experience in managerial positions.The EMBA is also aimed at entrepreneurs or general managers who require the necessary tools to offer innovative and different approaches and to improve the leadership of their teams.In this regard, the Programme will enhance their managerial skills to monitor the company's progress and help it to create value in a sustainable way, as well as new perspectives to face the challenges posed by today's rapidly changing global context, where executives must get used to dealing with permanent imbalance.Sessions will be held in Bilbao and San Sebastian, with international weeks at INSEAD (France) and Boston or Georgetown (Washington). The price of this Master?s degree is 36,000 euros.

Another programme offered by DBS is the Programme for Leadership Development -PLD, which is a joint programme between Deusto and ESADE Business School.It is designed for professionals with at least 3-year?s relevant professional experience in executive positions, executives in managerial positions and entrepreneurs or business owners with growth potential.Its main aim is to help participants to acquire a global corporate vision as well as the necessary skills to lead teams and make effective decisions.This programme seeks to enable students to promote their career development towards higher managerial positions. It will be held in Bilbao or San Sebastian at different timetables and dates. It will include two intensive modules that last three full days, one in Bilbao / San Sebastian and another in Barcelona.Its price is 19,500 euros.

Finally, another of the main programmes offered by Deusto Business School is the Im2 International Master in Innovation Management, which is run jointly with the VTT Technical Research Centre in Finland.Its main aim is to train professionals able to manage innovation in private or public organisations and, above all, who are capable of leading an innovative culture across all processes, and can take advantage of all the resources available and make the most of the intellecutal and creative potential of the organisation.The Im2 is divided into ten one-week intensive modules, which will be held in five European cities:Bilbao, Helsinki, Brussels, Florence and San Sebastian. Its price is 30,500 euros.
