Deusto Business School receives the AMBA international accreditation and is positioned among the top 2% of business schools worldwide

Deusto Business School, the business school at the University of Deusto, has received accreditation from AMBA (Association of MBAs), one of the world's leading authorities on postgraduate business education. An important seal of quality in addition to the prestigious AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation, an organisation that recognises the world's top schools, which Deusto Business School achieved last April. Only six Spanish institutions have two international accreditations, which places Deusto among the top 2% of business schools worldwide.

With this recognition by AMBA, Deusto Business School is ranked among the leading schools in postgraduate business education. The accreditation places special emphasis on the quality of its Executive MBA, which meets the highest international standards of excellence. The transformational experience of the Executive MBA students at Deusto Business School has been especially valued by the accreditation committee.

For both current students and alumni of the Deusto Executive MBA, obtaining the AMBA accreditation means joining the club of the best MBA alumni, a global community of 57,000 students and alumni from more than 150 countries with whom they will be able to expand their international relations and contacts.

Members of the AMBA accreditation team, representing the senior management of AMBA-accredited business schools around the world, commended the commitment of the School's faculty and staff as well as the Dean and management team's drive for change and continuous improvement. The accrediting committee also highlighted the impressive links of Deusto Business School with the business community. Finally, they stressed that the school offers its Executive MBA participants and its students as a whole a truly transformational learning experience.

According to the Dean of Deusto Business School, Álvaro de la Rica, this new accreditation encourages the school to focus on its mission, on innovation and on generating a positive impact. To obtain these international accreditations, it is necessary to undergo a rigorous review process by international peer experts from other business schools, which can take several years. This thorough process ensures that accredited schools have the resources, credentials and commitment to provide students with a world-class, future-oriented business education.

For this reason, the Dean thanks the faculty, staff, students, alumni and the business community at large for their help in achieving this new AMBA seal. "We are very proud to receive this international accreditation and delighted to join the AMBA community. This recognition reinforces our commitment to offering value-based programmes that enable humanistic leadership as a response of service to society”. "The double accreditation is a step forward in our path of excellence at the international level of Deusto Business School", he added.

Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Executive of the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (BGA) said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Deusto Business School to the AMBA network. AMBA only accredits the top 2% of Business Schools globally and it is therefore fitting that this Business School has achieved this international recognition. I look forward to working with Deusto Business School closely in the future.’
