This year?s competition, which was held last 15 and 16 November, students had tocreate a young enterprise devoted to the manufacturing and marketing of dive suits. The session held on 15 November was a monograph on ?Communication Challenge?. In it, each team had to hold a press conference to explain the main features of their company and their products.
The second day, the company?s general decisions were taken (sale prices, raw materials purchase, salary payment, financial management, etc.) in a sequential way, and taking part in the computer-generated virtual market. The starting situations were quite similar for all the companies competing in this market, and they were faced with the same challenges regarding management, finance, communication, profitability, purchase management, quality, etc. The team with the best management performance indicators was awarded the first prize (Grand Prix de l?Strategie) by the panel of judges.This year, the first prize is worth 1,000 euros and a weekend trip to Marrakech.
This is the third time that a team from La Comercial faculty has been to Bordeaux, and its list of achievements so far has been very positive: the first year they took part in this competition they also won the first prize, and last year, they were awarded the prize for customer satisfaction.
