About the master

The Erasmus Mundus Master’s Programme in Human Rights Policy and Practice offers courses and opportunities for study in Sweden, Spain, England, and Norway and brings together legal, sociological, political, anthropological, and practical perspectives. Students are supported from the classroom to the job market, preparing you for human rights work in civil society organizations, governments, the public sector, and business.

To apply, you should have a minimum of two years’ practitioner experience in the field of human rights.

Erasmus Mundus Grants

The Erasmus Mundus Programme provides EU-funded scholarships for third-country students and EU/EEA students who have applied to and been accepted by the Human Rights Policy and Practice master´s course. The programme offers around 15 scholarships per year.

This two-year, full-time programme is taught in English in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Spain and Norway. Partners include, the University of Deusto (Spain), the University of Roehampton (London, UK) and the Göteborgs Universitet (Göteborg, Sweden) and the Artic University Norway (Tromso, Norway).

The programme has a strong emphasis on professional development, and how human rights principles can be put into practice through policy and active engagement in human rights issues. You will be exposed to legal, political, sociological and anthropological approaches to human rights promotion and protection in a globalised world.
