The 22nd edition of the festival Zinemakumeak will dedicate its programme to terror and fantasy. The Bilbao film festival seeks to promote the knowledge and the diffusion of cinema made by women. It is sponsored by Bilbao City Council, Provincial Council of Bizkaia and BBK and will host 16 productions in this edition.
The presence of women in the Basque Cinema was addressed by Deusto’s researcher María Pilar Rodríguez at the UPV-EHU Summer Course: Gender Politics in the Basque Cinema.
