    Simon Breden Santos

    Simon Breden Santos.  He is an associate professor at the University of Deusto, specializing in the theory and practice of translation, English language, and Second Language Acquisition. He is also an experienced professional translator, specializing in cultural and theatrical themes. He has published numerous translations, including exhibition catalogs, academic books, and plays. He has translated from Spanish to English for the stage, with various productions and professional readings in London, collaborating with the Royal Court Theatre, Gate Theatre, and Cervantes Theatre.

     

    Orientation and Resources

    Tutoring sessions are designed to address both doubts or difficulties regarding the understanding of each subject's various topics and to provide guidance and oversight for activities and assignments.

    Subject Tutoring: Conducted by the responsible faculty for each subject, these sessions aim to resolve any queries arising from the evaluation exercises assigned by the faculty. A schedule of in-person tutoring sessions is available on the calendar.

    Master's degree final project: These sessions are conducted by assigned faculty tutors to guide students in developing their master's degree final project. Schedules and calendars for these sessions are prearranged with the respective tutor. Attendance to these sessions is mandatory.

    The University provides support through its University Orientation Service, offering:

    • Specialized psychopedagogical consultations to address potential student difficulties.
    • Specialized courses to facilitate and enhance the learning process (study techniques, anxiety management, public speaking, job search techniques, etc.).
    • Curricular Adaptation Unit.

    Students with special needs receive support from this Orientation Service, coordinated with the Master's program direction, ensuring their proper integration into the academic dynamics of this postgraduate program (teaching/learning, research, internships, and social networks).

    The Office of International Relations offers support to students from other countries, providing continuous information and assistance with:

    • Visa procedures
    • Residence permits
    • Housing and reception
    • Medical services and insurance
    • Local services 

    The University also provides various support and guidance services such as:
